TGIF: LUPEC Boston

LUPEC stands for “Ladies United for the Preservation of Cocktails” and is a women only cocktail society that began in Pittsburgh in 2001 and has spread across the United States. LUPEC is dedicated to making, drinking, and preserving fantastic cocktails in the area, encouraging women to get together with other cocktail enthusiasts and introduce these cocktails back into the bars and restaurants in their community, and promoting women’s history.

The Boston LUPEC chapter happens to have a particularly great blog that they update consistently with news of meetings and events, drink recipes, and even some tips for beating your next hangover. Boston’s LUPEC chapter doesn’t only serve as a great cocktail party for women in the city once a month though, they also fundraise for local Boston women’s charities through special events and liquor partnerships.
