Starting the Year Off with NaBloPoMo

I have just learned from a fellow blogger, Sue, who writes Pittsburgh Lesbian Corespondents, that January is National Blog Post Month – also known as NaBloPoMo.  Since one of my goals for 2013 is to build a community of local bloggers – writing a post a day for NaBlogPoMo seems like a good place to start.

You can learn more about NaBloPoMo on the BlogHer website here.  You can check out a list of over 300 other bloggers who are participating in this month of blogging here.  We’re eager to see what other local blogs are participating.

We know we are a week late to this blogging party – if I had know about NaBloPoMo sooner we would have started blogging back on January first.  We’re planning to keep blogging through the first week of February.

The theme for the January 2012 NaBloPoMo is energy.  We’re excited about what local bloggers are doing in their communities and writing about local blogs is what we like the most.

Please follow along here on the blog or sign up to recieve the BlogLocal Blog posts by email here.

Here is a list of topics that we’re thinking of writing about over the next month…

  • profiles of local blogs on the BlogLocal map
  • helpful WordPress plugins
  • useful tools for promoting blog posts on social media
  • Kickstarter projects we like

What would you like to see us write about in the next 30 days?
