One of the reasons I wanted to build a map of blogs is so that it isn’t so hard to find the folks that are blogging from and/or about specific places – places like Punxsutawney, PA.
We are just a few days from Groundhog Day – and since Pittsburgh isn’t too far from Punxsutawney – I have been researching all things Punxsutawney and I was hoping to find a blog based in Punxsutawney, PA.
The official Groundhog Day website – Groundhog.org has a link to the Blog from the Burrow. But this page doesn’t have an RSS feed, which is one of things that makes a blog, a blog. (Punxsutawney Phil is on Facebook and Twitter).
So I kept searching though links of pages, and there hasn’t been much updating of Punxsutawaney websites in terms of design – I will say that all of the sites that I visited were updated with info for the 2013 Groundhog Day celebration. And I found some amazing Punxsutawney Phil gear at PunxsutawneyGifts.com.

I did finally find end up on a blog that won’t be mapped to Punxatwany but I think many writers will enjoy browsing – Danny Rubin‘s Blogus Groundhogus. Danny Rubin is the guy who wrote the movie Groundhog Day. He has a blog about all sorts of things including Groundhog Day and he has published an e-book about writing the movie – “How To Write Groundhog Day.” You can also follow him on twitter as @Groundhog_guy.
Have you been to Punxsutawney? Did you write a blog post about your visit? Are you a blogger in Punxsutawney? We would love to hear more about who is blogging about Groundhog Day.
