BlogLocal’s next holiday giveaway represents the great city of Denver, Colorado!
Our third Merry Local giveaway is an Ugly Christmas Sweater Ornament made from beetle kill pines by local furniture and design business I’ve Got Wood in Colorado.
Beetle Kill Pines are actually former green lodgepole pines that have been destroyed by pine beetles. I’ve Got Wood has seen the light at the end of the tunnel with all of these dying trees, and has used them to make their furniture, ornaments, and products. Beetle Kill Pines have a distinct blue ribbon stain running through them, which actually make the perfect canvas for I’ve Got Wood’s creations and serve as a tribute to Colorado’s beautiful forests.
This funny ornament is perfect for your grandmother who actually really loves ugly Christmas sweaters, as a hostess gift for your friend who is throwing the ugly sweater party this year, or as a gift for yourself on your own tree.
Check out the I’ve Got Wood blog here and if you’re in Denver, be sure to take a look at their products at the I Heart Denver Store.
